Scrappy Rail Fence

Scrappy Rail Fence began as a leader/ender project and I finished sewing the blocks together on a recent retreat. I decided to add a couple of borders. The narrow inner border is a pale yellow. I just happened to have a little more of the fabric that matched the dark rails - just enough for an outer border and the binding!

This donation quilt finished at 51" by 57". It's a donation quilt that I think would work for anyone - even a teenage boy. Of course, I love the bright colors.

I machine quilted this using rulers and off-white 50-weight Aurifil #2000 thread. The quilting is quite simple on the blocks.

The border was interesting to do. I learned a lot!

I used one of my favorite stash fabrics for the back - splotches of paint.

This quilt has Dream Cotton Batting and has been added to the finished pile.

An update on the Rainbow Quilt - it's together!

One of these days it will be quilted.
