2013 New FO Challenge - November Update

The NewFO Challenge with Barbara over at Cat Patches is easy to do - just start a new project each month! You should stop over and see what everyone else has started this month.

As you may know, it's been a sad month here and I haven't done much sewing. I did manage to begin one project. This wall hanging was made from a panel and now hangs in our side porch/entry way. The quilting is straight horizontal lines with free motion feathers around the leaves.

I  have couple of other finishes - I just had to finish the bindings on each.

A baby boy donation quilt started in September.

A baby girl quiltbaby bricks, started in August.

I also finished a couple of Santa aprons:

I have a few unfinished projects from this year that might(?) get addressed in December.

  • QOV from February.
  • July triangle quilt
  • August 3-D Mini Table Runner
  • September baby girl quilt log cabin stripes
  • October baby quilt
  • October secret project

  1. Your wall hanging is lovely and your other finishes are delightful. I'm so sorry for the losses you've faced this month. I hope you find solace in your stitching time when you can be alone with your thoughts. Hugs from Kansas. I'm stopping in through the NewFO linky party.

  2. Yes, life such major ways, sometimes. Hugs and blessings to you.........

  3. I really like all of your finishes for November, especially those cute Santa aprons and your Cardinal wall hanging!

  4. Your quilts are so lovely. So sorry you have had so much sadness in your life lately. Praying the New Year will be a happier time for you.

  5. So sorry for the sadness. Your sewing projects are lovely, however. I hope it gave you something else to think about.

  6. I'm sorry you have had sadness in your home. Hope things are going better now. Your Christmas things are darling and the baby quilts turned out great.

  7. Sorry to hear of your sadness. Your projects are wonderful.

  8. Finishes are always good. Hopefully December will be much less eventful for you.

  9. Your quilts are wonderful! I love the baby boy quilt! And the santa aprons are fantastic! Did you use a pattern?
