I love making scrap quilts - it always feels like they are free! But what do I do with leftover yarn? Now I know! Is that called scrap knitting??? I found a pattern to use leftover yarn and it works great!
I had this leftover variegated/self-striping yarn.
I had this yarn in my stash that was also self-striping.
One day soon I'll show you the finished socks and share the pattern and other information.

I would never have put these together but I did...
And I love the result!

You are tempting me to get back to sock knitting!! Those are gorgeous!!!!!! I'm a devotee of the "mismatched sox" group (and, yes, I have even purchased the packs of 3 socks found in specialty shops!!!). Please, do share the pattern !!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is such a neat way to use up leftover yarn! Or brand new yarn! Once you get the spiral knitting down, you can use any pattern done in a circular fashion. The pattern is free on ravelry.com

I wouldn't have thought to put those two yarns together, but I love how they turned out in those socks! Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteCool looking socks.
ReplyDeleteLove how those came out! Now to get cooler weather to have them snuggle your feet.
