Quilting outside the box

I had a little time to spend in the sewing room this past week. I was able to get this quilt top together.

I used a Josephine jelly roll from French General by Moda that I bought at Country Threads when I was at Quilt Camp last fall.

This is not a normal fabric choice for me but I do think it is always good to quilt outside the box once in a while!

    1. Thanks! The pattern is really easy and it went together very fast. Somehow it's not getting sandwiched and quilted quite so fast! We need to get together one of these days!

  2. I love this!! So simple, yet really neat! I'm using some French General fabric for my Texas Star quilt. I wanted to make a red and white quilt, but I wanted some fabrics that would be a little softer, less intense. I picked up several yards of several colors when we were at Hancock's of Paducah on our way to Florida last year. The Texas Star quilt is my travel project, so it's slow going. But I think it will be worth it.

    1. I have it on the boards but not pinned yet! I haven't decided the quilting pattern - guess I'll listen to it! Feathers are always in style! ~Jeanne

  4. Some of my favorite fabric! Looks like a rather fast quilt to make.
