I am still cleaning, rearranging, sorting...
Parts of the sewing rooms are looking better!

I'm almost ready for my new tables but they aren't done yet. When they are, I'll move back in.
Until then, I will sew! if I can find what I need!

The blue and white quilt needs a little bit of hand-quilting and the binding has to be sewn. It is close to being done! But I cut my finger on a thread - I'm a major klutz. Anyway I can't use a thimble right now so not much hand sewing is happening. Hopefully soon!
My Edyta Sitar blocks are all fused. The first one is appliquéd. A quilt shop out east sold me a heavy tear-away stabilizer when I explained the project. I need to find a better way. I used it on the first block and still don't have it all removed!

Edyta's designs are among the most beautiful ones out there! Your project will be so awesome and a treasure for sure!! I think I would look for something else, too. Definitely a tedious 'clean-up'...but it will be worth it! Hugs, Doreen
ReplyDeleteThanks Doreen! I love the colors/fabrics in Edyta's designs so a goal this year was to make one of her quilts. This one had all of the pieces laser cut ready to fuse. That part was very easy. Now the stabilizer! I think I can do the appliqué without any stabilizer. I'll try that next. If it doesn't work, I'll try a very thin tear away. This heavy duty stuff is overkill! ~Jeanne
DeleteI love that blue and white quilt (I do believe that blue and white is my favorite two color quilt combo) ... I can't wait to see it when it's finished.
ReplyDeleteYouy have such beautiful projects here. Sorry for the pain in your finger, and also sorry for the pain in removing the stabilizer...certainly looks very tedious, but will be well worth the effort. The blocks are stunning!
