Since being retired, I have enjoyed being able to knit on a more consistent basis. Over the left needle you are not twisting. It is easier to knit in a not twisted purl stitch! The link above tells this more clearly than I am. In the end, it all looks about the same and as she said in the link - there is no wrong way! ~JeanneRay and Jeannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16016180736310628859noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6766181259810442300.post-25709871302538545612013-07-02T08:43:29.120-05:002013-07-02T08:43:29.120-05:00Yay for figuring it out and having an easier time ...Yay for figuring it out and having an easier time now. ;-) I keep thinking about learning to knit.Kathy ... aka Nanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17626590048036292030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6766181259810442300.post-17869780564326092212013-07-02T08:15:35.399-05:002013-07-02T08:15:35.399-05:00I had never heard of such. My grandmother taught me and, although I don't hold the yarn strand in the conventional wrap configuration, the stitches turn out just fine. I, too, knit many mittens and sweaters for our 'boys'. Now, it's fingerless mitts...for self and gifts. Love 'em! Hugs.....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
