Batik Lonestar - done!

I finished the batik Lonestar that I started in February and wrote about here. I love the colors!
After I hung the quilt, Ray commented about how it really drew the colors from the painted wooden shingles near it. Doesn't everyone have painted wooden shingles?
I quilted the interior of the quilt in radiating stars using a walking foot.
I free motion quilted the border in Paisley.
Did I mention that I love this quilt?

  1. No I don't have painted wooden shingles, lol. But your quilt is beautiful!! Did you dye the fabrics? They are so rich.

    1. No I didn't dye the fabrics - they were in a jelly roll. I did have some trouble when I washed the quilt - some of the colors ran on the white -ugh! It took two more washings and a little help but the extra dye is gone. Whew! ~Jeanne

  3. Beautiful color choices, lovely quilting. I've had things run that 'shouldn't' have, and have found that a second wash with some Shout in the water took care of it.
